Just a quick video on how to make some inexpensive DIY fountain pen cleaning solution. This solution is not necessary each time you clean your pens, rather when you need a deeper cleaning, or you are changing types of inks, etc….
Recipe is simple:
9 parts of distilled water
1 part of ammonia
a couple drops of dish soap.
Combine in a mason jar, or sealed container, and shake a bit to incorporate the solution.
Clean your pens as normal, after the pens are adequately cleaned, run them through the cleaning solution, as shown in the video. Then flush with clean water, and you are good to go.
