After Shave – Phoenix – Cavendish
Scent:
This soap is earthy, its dark and very mysterious. It is a fall scent by Barrister & Mann, so if you didn’t grab it while it was available, pray it s next fall…. There is a woodsy, spicy part that reach in and teases your senses. It’s sort of a foreboding scent.. Like something sinister from some dark depth is going to tug you in. The strength of the scent is on the high side, which I love. I buy soaps for the performance / experience and the scent. I do not appreciate many soft tones in soaps. So this one scores high, as do most B&M soaps. In the end it is a manly balanced scent that stays it’s course.
Performance:
B&M soaps are always top performers. Easy to lather, yet thirsty, great cushion and protection… Post shave feel is outstanding, which is also amplified by the Cavendish after shave I used.
Loved todays shave!
Scent Description:
Inspired by the swamps of Boston, B&M combined vetiver, oak moss, black pepper, cocoa, labdanum, and cedar to produce a deep, cold scent suited to the chilly, bitter days of late October. Gloomy, rich, and perversely elegant, Hallows is a reminder of why men once feared the dark.
