When an app crashes, Mac OS X pops open a crash report dialog box. Since I never really use this feature here is a simple Terminal command to rid yourself of them:
defaults write com.apple.CrashReporter DialogType none
If for any reason you want to reactivate the crash reports, retype the code replacing “none” with “prompt”.
