Google has fixed what I always thought was a rather huge PITA. Previously when you imported contacts into Gmail from OSX Address Book, MS Outlook etc… it would put fields it didn’t understand into the notes section. Now it keeps track of them as it should. Yay, much cleaner contacts prevail!

Last week I received a Google Voice beta invite (after about a year of attempting to get one). So, far I am very impressed by the service. I picked up the last local number that was available in my hometown. The initial process of setting the account up was easy. Although there are some things to take into consideration. I have made some tweaks to the service over the past few days – hopefully its in the set it – forget it mode now.
