Soap – Soap Commander – Respect
Brush – Plisson Synthetic
Razor – Wet Shave Club
Blade – Trig
Aftershave – Pinaud Lime Sec
Soap Thoughts: Wow! Top note is lime all lime. Mid note, I would say it starts morphing into the patchouli. It’s a great scent. I find it sweet, and very strong… Which I really like. Not always fond of lightly scented soaps. I had a lot of trouble lathering this, I think it had to do with the fact I never used a Plisson/Synthetic brush before. So I doubt it was Soap Commanders fault. I just think the Plisson newb in me failed at lathering today. Performance was nice, very slick and a bit of cushion. Post shave was great =)
Plisson Thoughts: Honestly they way everyone speaks of this brush, I was shocked it lathered like crap today. I am sure it has to do with my technique, but as you can see in other videos I can lather soap rather well. So, I have to figure out my problem, maybe not enough water. If you see what I did wrong in the video please comment on the video =)
Razor & Blade: I was impressed today with the Wet Shave Club Razor and the Trig blade. I honestly thought the Trig was going to ginsu me to death, but it didn’t it performed pretty well actually. Not as sharp as some of the other blades I use, there was also a bit of tugging. I nicked my scabbed over nick from yesterday, aside from that no blood, cuts, weepers etc.
All in all it went well, aside from the disappointing lather.
