I lucked Out! Won a Lamy Safari Neon Lime
Here is a quick unboxing video, of a Lamy Safari Neon Lime fountain pen, which I received in the mail today. I recently entered a contest on Instagram, held by Vanness Pens. The contest was for a, 2015 Limited Edition Lamy Safari Neon Lime fountain pen. As luck would have it I won! Lisa from Vanness, shot the Neon Lime pen out to me about a week ago, and it just arrived today. I know refer to this little beauty as ‘My Precious’, first off I absolutely love Lamy Safari’s, for a number of reasons…
- They are inexpensive
- Very comfortable
- Very well made
- User serviceable / replaceable nibs
- Nice variety of nib choices
- Replacement nibs are ~$10 or so
- And by golly, it’s NEON LIME!
Anyway, thanks again Lisa for the awesome fountain pen prize. I appreciate it, and will cherish it for a very long time!
About Vanness Pens
Now in its third generation, the Vanness family continues to serve central Arkansas. Orville Vanness could never be pinned down to a date for his original store. He began repairing razors in Snodgrass and Bracy drugstore in the early 1930’s. He quickly added on fountain pen repair. Orville had his own space in the drugstore for several years. He dreamed of having his own name on a sign; and sometime around 1938 he opened shop in downtown Little Rock. Orville passed his skills on to his sons. Together Dennis and Van continued the family tradition; with added locations and retail merchandise. Today Orville’s grandson Mike (Dennis’ son) carries on the family tradition.
