we moved a server today and i was messing with the host file on my mac pro. afterwards i had to flush the dns so the new site would appear. i could not for the life of me remember the terminal command for flushing the dns. here are the steps:
1. open terminal
2. type the following command: dscacheutil -flushcache
thats it!
